breaking overnight. as always, it's ron claiborne. >> two men are in custody this morning for allegedly planning a terror plot in the united states. they were in florida. but were in touch with radicals overseas. senior justice correspondent, pierre thomas, join us with the details. >> reporter: good morning. the two ft. lauderdale men are accused of threatening to blow up a bomb in the u.s. sources tell abc news, this was not a sting. and that the younger brother had been in contact with overseas radicals, possibly connected to al qaeda. the indictment accused the men of attempting to provide money, lodging and transportation, and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction. and sources say, the fbi found evidence that the younger brother, had been monitoring recent fbi sting cases. so, authorities say infiltrating the alleged conspiracy was a non-starter. one law enforcement source described the young man's intent as serious. but the source said, the attack was not imminent. >> okay. pierre thomas, thanks for that report. >>> we have breaking news overnight from overseas. a new pro

overnight. we go to mr. ron claiborne who has extraordinary videotape. >>> out of russia. a plane crash outside of moscow. we'll begin with this stunning video. the plane overshot the runway and careened into traffic and abc's kirit radia has the story. >> reporter: you're about to see the terrifying moment of impact as the russian passenger jet slams into a busy highway. watch again. you can see the plane's tire colliding with the moving car. and listen closely. you can hear the squealing brakes and crushing metal. the crash took place on saturday at an airport outside moscow. the red wing airlines flight broke through a barrier fence shattering into three pieces and bursting into flames before skidding to a stop at the edge of the highway. witnesses rushed to pull survivors out of the wreckage. the russian made tupolev 204 was flying back from the czech republic with no passengers and eight crew members on board. officials say four of them were killed including the pilots. the other four were seriously injured. an investigation has been opened but officials have already suggested that

with a look at the other stories making headlines here's ron claiborne. >> good morning to you, bianna, we begin with another eruption of gunfire. this time in a parking lot in a shopping mall in southern california. it was caught on surveillance camera. police in newport beach, california, say that 42-year-old mark cost gorolo was arrested after firing 50 shots into the air and ground outside of that mall. no one injured but the mall packed with holiday shoppers went into lockdown until police secured 9 area. >>> a teenager under arrest for a plot to shoot students and bomb his high school. sammy chavez planned to trap students in a locked auditorium and allegedly wanted to place bombs at the doors for when police arrived. students reported the plan, the alleged plot to school staff members after chavez tried to recruit them. >>> and a major concession by the republican house leaders in those fiscal cliff negotiations. abc news learned that house speaker john boehner has proposed raising income taxes for the healthiest americans, those making a million dollars a year or more. but only if
muller. who's in for ron claiborne. >>> good morning, everyone. for the second time in as many weeks the nfl is mourning the loss of one of its players. the dallas cowboys josh brent will be in court this morning. he flipped his car early saturday morning that killed a teammate. we're hearing from brent for the first time this morning. abc's clayton sandell has the story. >> reporter: police say that dallas cowboys player josh brent was speeding down this road, just after 2:00 a.m., when his mercedes crashed, flipped and caught fire. in the passenger seat, his teammate, jerry brown. >> when our officers arrived on scene, mr. brent was removing -- or dragging mr. brown from the vehicle. >> brent was given and failed field sobriety tests. brown was rushed to a hospital where he died. >> once the officers learned that brown had passed away then mr. price-brent was under arrest for intoxication manslaughter. >> on behalf of josh, a tremendous loss to him. this was like losing a little brother. >> reporter: it's not the first time that brent has been charged with drinking and driving. he
